His way of teaching made me curious. When I was able to attend his Shen Dan Gong teachings, I was rather sceptical about it at first.
Most of the time I had difficulties escaping from the stream of thoughts and doing my exercises regularly, which Mathias taught me.
Thanks to Mathias' patience and perseverance in motivating me to do Shen Dan Gong, I gradually loosened the self-imposed mental blocks that I was always subject to and often missed my practical classes with him.
Soon, however, I realised that I was missing something in the depths of my being and the exercises, which I smiled at in the beginning, nevertheless had their effect. I just didn't feel good when I surrendered to my daily routine and spent all my time on other things.
Thanks to his highly intuitive and calm manner, he knows how not to impose himself, but to be helpful and motivating. What I give him credit for is that he lives what he says and has great patience, which was especially important for me as a beginner, so that I didn't feel any pressure to do it better right away. Even when I often missed classes, Mathias always responded with understanding and motivated me to continue, for which I am very grateful today, because the exercises brought me more and more into clarity.
I couldn't have imagined a better teacher than Mathias, because he imparts a lot of knowledge in an animated way and creates an understanding of this ancient teaching, so that you don't just move and breathe, but explains exactly what the posture is good for, why you stand the way you do and move the way you do. In his teaching, theory and practice became one.
